Thank you for changing hearts and lives through your partnership!

WRM saves lives, and it’s just a wonderful place to be.”

When a health emergency sent Lisa to the hospital, critically high blood sugar levels exposed uncontrolled diabetes — a stark warning that her life was spiraling. “I should’ve been dead,” she reflects. “God saved me – I’m sure of it.”

After Lisa’s daughter brought her to Wyoming Rescue Mission, your support helped Lisa heal physically and mentally during her time in our Discipleship Recovery Program. Your support also made it possible for her to come to faith in Christ and experience spiritual transformation.

“WRM saved my life,” she says. “They brought me to Jesus, and that’s just the best thing anybody could ever do.” “I am doing very well,” she says. “I do whatever needs to be done because I know I’m serving God.”

Lisa has also rebuilt her relationship with her daughter. “My daughter and I did not have a relationship,” she says. “Now we do. She says, ‘Mom, I see something in you that I have never seen before. I can trust you now.’ The Mission and the Discipleship Program have given that to me.” Today, Lisa has her own apartment and works full-time at our Rescued Treasures stores.

“What’s important to me is helping others.”

When Marshal began drinking to cope with anger and anxiety, it turned into a struggle that lasted many years. After leaving home to work on a ranch, his drinking only intensified, threatening his job, his stability, his health, and ultimately his life.

“It probably saved my life having my boss come to me and say, ‘You are out of control with your drinking. I cannot watch you do this to yourself,” he says. “I finally came to the realization that I desperately needed help.”

That realization led him to Wyoming Rescue Mission, where your support allowed him to enroll in our Discipleship Recovery Program. During his time in the program, Marshal rebuilt his relationship with the Lord and began healing from the inside out. Having graduated from the program, Marshal now serves at the Mission on our front desk, helping guests get checked in and making sure their needs are met.

“The greatest reward is seeing the transformation and work that God does in the guests’ lives when they walk into the Mission, and the positive changes that they make in their day-to-day lives that eventually lead to a successful and sober life,” he says. “I came here with one bag full of clothes and what I had on my back,” he remembers. “It’s how God works. He uses people to help. The donors are helping us so that we can help others.”
